Just back from California and it was an incredible time. I spoke at the Urban Youth Workers Institute http://uywi.org/ and loved every minute of it. It was exciting to talk about the defense of the faith against the occult and see so many faces smiling, nodding and saying, "Amen!" The stories people shared about their experiences were fascinating and I came away with a sense of hope--that the Church is alive and well--that many, many people are passionately committed to Jesus Christ (and so many of them are young). There is such a hunger out there for knowledge to grow in Grace and defend the faith.

Thank you, UYWI for the opportunity and the blessing of being a part of this national conference (and the HipHop was really cool, too).

I will be posting an abbreviated version of my UYWI PowerPoint presentations for people to build on. Give me a few more days as I'm currently dealing with a crisis on The Kingdom of the Occult. More on that soon . . . please pray.

My visit to the Frank Pastore Show on KKLA was exciting, as always. Thanks again to those of you who voiced their ideas on the greatest danger the Church faces today. Matthew--thank you especially for bringing to mind my father's comments in The Cult of Liberalism. I wish we'd had time to go to the phones--would have been fun mentioning your names on air and maybe even getting the chance to say, "hello". We'll have to try for it next time. :)

Frank and Gina Pastore are special people. I learn so much from both of them whenever we get together, and I thank God for friends with the courage to say what needs to be said.

Back soon with more info . . . have a great day!

Happy Mother's Day! I had a great day of celebrating with family I don't normally get to see on Mother's Day, so I am a happy Mom.

**For all those who might be interested, I will be on KKLA's Frank Pastore Show this Tuesday http://www.kkla.com/localhosts/4/ --not sure of the time yet (probably after 5:30 pm) but I will let you know. Frank always keeps me on my toes, so it should be amazingly informative. :) One question I was asked to think about: What do you feel is the greatest threat to the Church today? Interesting topic and one I could probably discuss ad infinitum if only Frank would let me. What do you think? Write and tell me your thoughts (but move fast if you want me to mention it on the air).

The Kingdom of the Occult is winding its way s-l-o-w-l-y through the permissions process. For those of you who don't already know, written permission is now required in order to quote almost everyone. Yes, that's right. I have to ask witches, satanists, druids and every other occult practitioner for permission to use their words--I kid you not. Of course, many of them don't want to give it to me (can you imagine that?) so you can see how this complicates my sincere efforts to accurately convey occult beliefs.

And now for the answer you've been waiting all week to hear . . . what group worth mega-millions is conspicuously avoiding us? None other than Madonna's Kabbalah Centre, run by the illusive and unfortunately litigious Berg family. Apparently, they can't decide if they should allow me to quote them. The good news is that their rival in the complex world of Kabbalah--Rabbi Michael Laitman--is not afraid to be quoted and granted us permission to do so. Thank you, Rav Laitman.

Life is never dull . . . .

I'm spending the next few weeks in sunny Southern California, where recycled water is a way of life and Mercedes outnumber pickups 10 to 1. (Just kidding) :)

Seriously, though, life has been hitting us hard lately and it's been difficult. Thank you for your continued prayers for my brother, Danny, who is still in constant pain, and for my niece, Sharon, who developed a mild case of Chicken Pox (thank God) so we are hopeful for her and for the baby.

I watched another one of my nieces get married yesterday, and it really caused alot of personal reflection. Life flies by and before you know it, the child you once held is walking down the aisle . . . sadness--happiness--life is constantly changing. Someday, I would like to ask the Lord why? (I could use a timeout on change.) I look at my two children and see them growing up, and while I'm happy for them, I can't help feeling a bit sad for me because once my little ones are gone, I will never have them back again. I love the old movie Fiddler on the Roof--not only because it's a powerful picture, but because it helps me keep things in perspective when depression looms. After seeing everything the Russian Jews endured, I don't have a whole lot to complain about.

One of my favorite songs . . .

Sunrise, Sunset
Sunrise, Sunset
Swiftly fly the days,
Seedlings turn overnight to Sunflowers,
Blossoming even as we gaze . . .

Sunrise, Sunset
Sunrise, Sunset
Swiftly fly the years,
One season following another,
Laden with happiness and tears.

On the upside of things, I am speaking at the Urban Youth Workers Institute National Conference May 15-18 at Azusa Pacific University and I'm excited to have the opportunity to train leaders in youth ministry. My workshop topics are Wicca/Witchcraft/Goddess Worship and Tools of the Occult. Your prayers are always welcome. :)

Soon to come . . . a great article on Oprah from my insightful friend Frank Pastore, afternoon drive-time host on KKLA, and . . . (drumroll) my list of all the occult teachers who DO NOT wish to be quoted in The Kingdom of the Occult. Can you imagine that? I wonder why not?

Here's a sneak peak: Can you believe that Elizabeth Clare Prophet, "mystic, writer, lecturer and spiritual teacher" does NOT want us to quote her? What a surprise! And which high profile "belief system" with mega-millions is avoiding us like the plague? Stay tuned for more shocking revelations.
