It has been a very hard week here. My brother had his heart catheterization (it was moved up unexpectedly so I couldn't post about it) and he has been diagnosed with a heart condition that cannot be cured--he will more than likely need a heart transplant. The left side of his heart is only working at 20% and we are all very discouraged. Please pray for Danny and his wife, Maria, that the medication he is on now will strengthen his heart. . . there is a chance it could do that, so we are hopeful. What makes it even more difficult is that Danny cannot work now and the bills still need to be paid, so it is hard for him to cope with that stress on top of everything else. Please pray for God's comfort, strength and blessing in their lives.

When it rains, it pours, I guess . . . my 22 year old niece is expecting her second child (she's two months along), and just found out she has chicken pox. This is very scary for all of us, since chicken pox is dangerous in adults and even more dangerous during pregnancy when the immune system responds differently. She is having difficulty with shortness of breath right now and we are worried about pneumonia. Please pray that God will protect her baby and bring both of them safely through this.

My brother Danny is feeling better, but has not been able to have the heart catheterization. I will let you know when it's scheduled. Thanks again for all of your prayers. I've just started to get back into the swing of things, so blogging should pick-up.

For those of you who think freedom of speech is alive and well on the North American continent--think again. Canada just closed down a Christian ministry run by former Jehovah's Witness Lorri MacGregor because it supposedly violated Canada's "hate crimes" law.

Canada orders ministry by Christians shut down
'Nothing we could do would please them'

The Canadian government has ordered a Christian ministry that teaches doctrine and the differences between Christians and cults shut down because its reference materials were "critical" of the beliefs of those who are not Christian, WND has learned.

So what used to be called MacGregor Ministries with offerings in how to recognize and eliminate "faulty fads" in Christian churches has been re-created in the United States, and now operates under the name MM Outreach Media Ministries.

Lorri MacGregor, who has dedicated her life to explaining the straight and narrow of Christian beliefs since she found her way out of the Jehovah's Witness system years ago, told WND Canada's version of a "hate crimes" law prevented their work from continuing as it had for nearly 30 years.

"Canada is no longer a Christian nation," she said. "And watch out America!"

The writing is on the wall . . . and believe me, I know this firsthand. In the publishing world, freedom of speech has been gutted and what is left of it is now held hostage by the talking heads in legal--paid to make sure the publisher doesn't end up getting sued. Permission to quote anyone is strictly regulated and required for everything--and some of these permissions cost thousands of dollars--if you can even get them. I can't tell you how many people have denied me permission to quote them in The Kingdom of the Occult.

We are losing our right to free speech--our right to question and evaluate--and most Americans don't even know it.

So . . . I'm telling you--watch out--"hate crime" legislation is on the horizon. The question is: what are we going to do about it?

Once again, thank you so very much for your prayers. My brother Danny is doing much better and we are cautiously optimistic. He should be able to have the heart catheterization tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. Please keep praying.

My trip to New York has been a life-changing experience--I will give you an update once I get back to Minneapolis. We are flying in this afternoon on an American Airlines MD-80.

Yes, I know . . . all prayers are deeply appreciated. :)

Just an update on my brother, Danny. He did not have the heart catheterization due to too much water on his heart. He needs to be admitted to the hospital but because he is a veteran, they will not do it. Why? Because the Veterans Hospital is socialized medicine--the kind the Democrats want to give all of us--and it doesn't matter how sick you are, they still make you wait. There is standing room only for heart catheterizations, if you can believe that. There is no room in the VA hospital for all the veterans waiting for help.

So here is my brother, deathly ill, and the VA Hospital sends him home and tells him to rest. We are beside ourselves with frustration and worry--the only comfort is in knowing God has things under control. I know He loves Danny even more than we do.

"My times are in your hands" (Psalms 31:15).

How sad it is that the United States of America sends their people to fight and die--and when they live--condemns them to substandard medical care for the rest of their lives.

Please keep us in your prayers.

I would truly appreciate all of your prayers for my brother, Danny. He had a major coronary and now has only 1/3 of his heart functioning. I'm flying out to New York to see him tomorrow and I hope he will survive the heart catheterization they're doing at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow. He's 48 years old.

Thanks for remembering all of us.
