Still working on my YouTube video blog...frustrating technical difficulties but I won't give up. :)

Some of you have asked me about CRI and the Local Church and frankly, I think the entire situation is grim. The proverbial gun of stupidity is to the head once more (remember Preterism?) and bang...right between the eyes...bye bye credibility for HH and friends (you can follow me on Twitter--JillMartinRiche--to enjoy even more pithy comments)
.

Yes, you guessed it! We completely disagree with Elliot Miller's 1970s fantasy adventure starring the Local Church.

Stay tuned for further commentary on HH and his Local Church supporters....

In a nutshell, 4 arguments opposing the CRI Journal's opinion quickly come to me:

1)Avoidance of Spiritual Authority issues (which are absolutely huge in the Local Church)

2)Pretending the neutrality of mysticism (which is found riddled all through the cults)

3)Falsifying the notion of the fallen Chinese cultural

4)Appeal to the Chinese pain and suffering (persecution) as a necessary proof of truth

No surprises here.

Just more grief over what HHH did to (continues to do to) Walter's legacy: CRI.

I figured this since he established his reign in 1995 ridding CRI of every vestige of Walter Martin that he could.

And Elliot, as I recall a handicapped individual, is a victim of needing a job too badly. IMHO.

To further discuss the Preterist apostasy (or other theological issues) come to the Walter Martin forums message board (hosted by his daughter Jill and her husband Kevin)

BTW I see that the link to the archived radio show Night Watch is linked under the picture of Kevin and Jill on the WalterMartin.com website.

Soulcraft--yes, that's pretty much it in a nutshell. Thanks for the comments!

JohnD--It's a sad situation but they've stepped over the line this time. My father knew what he was talking about when it came to the Local Church, and the only ones who are wrong now are Hank and his minions.

JR Hale--Thanks for posting this. :) The discussion board is a great place for ex-Local Church people to post their personal experiences with this group.
